INTERPOL and RB Harare conduct training and operation under STOP initiative in Mozambique from 15 to 24 May 2024

The STOP initiative is aimed at boosting member countries' border security through operational training and enhanced use of INTERPOL policing tools to identify individuals wanted internationally.

Earlier last year, INTERPOL’s Smuggling, Training and Operations Programme (STOP) were held at Harare International Airport (3-5 October) and Lusaka International Airport (19-21 April) to increase security procedures at two key travel hubs in Africa.

The operations notably sought to combine efforts with law enforcement agencies worldwide against transnational organized crimes such as human trafficking and people smuggling, as well as terrorism.
