Heads of Crime Intelligence Units Meeting held in Lusaka, Zambia
Heads of Crime Intelligence convened at the Southern Sun Hotel in Lusaka from 9th to 10th May 2024 to engage in crucial deliberations aimed at enhancing our collective efforts in combating Transnational Organized Crimes and ensuring the safety of our communities both regionally and internationally, and the official opening was graced by Mr. Graphel Musamba, Inspector General of Zambia Police Service and SARPCCO Chairperson.
"Throughout your collective time, you have extensively explored strategies for intelligence gathering, analysis, and dissemination, acknowledging the ever-evolving landscape of criminal activities and the pressing need for flexibility and innovation in our responses. Your valuable contributions, ideas, and viewpoints have played a pivotal role in shaping our future strategies," said Mr. Musamba in his remarks.
Further, he urged the delegates to carry forward the spirit of collaboration and determination to confront the forthcoming challenges and remain resolute in their commitment to upholding the principles of law, safeguarding the communities, and dismantling the intricate networks of Transnational Organized Crimes that pose threats to the societies.
In conclusion, Mr. Musamba extended sincere gratitude to the SADC Secretariat and the INTERPOL Regional Bureau Harare for organizing this pivotal meeting, along with all the facilitators and stakeholders who contributed to its success.
